I arrived at Lex Brody's one morning in need of a safety inspection. My vehicle registration had expired and I knew that I at least needed to have a FAILED safety inspection before I could renew the registration after which I would be granted 30 days to acquire a PASSED safety inspection. Since I hadn't made an appointment I was told that I would probably have to wait for at least an hour, possibly more. It was suggested that I make an appointment if I couldn't afford to wait that long. I made a safety inspection appointment for the following day at 2:30 pm. I arrived slightly early, turned over the keys and waited in their customer lounge. My wife called me at 4 pm to ask how the S.I had gone. Frustrated, I told her I that I was still waiting. At around 4:45 I was notified by Lex Brody personnel that my vehicle was ready. It turns out that my vehicle had failed because my registration had expired (which I expected) AND because they claimed the tint on my driver/passenger side was too dark? (which I DIDN'T expect). Because of the additional 'FAILED' item regarding my "illegal" tint I knew that I wouldn't be able to register my vehicle without changing the tint. The following day I took my vehicle to another S.I garage, was issued a 'FAILED' (because of expired registration), got my vehicle registered and then returned to the same S.I garage and was re-issued a PASSED safety sticker--all within the space of two hours. Thank you... very much Lex Brody for the inept service that will prevent me from EVER frequenting your inept business again.
