Lex Brodie’s Tire Company Foundation

Our Lex Brodie’s Tire Company Foundation was established in 2004 when the Lex Brodie’s “Thank you… Very Much!” Award was started in honor of Lex Brodie’s (Alexander “Lex” Brodie) 90th Birthday. The Lex Brodie’s “Thank You… Very Much!” Award has had over 120 winners with participation from over 200 public and private schools on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Molokai and the Big Island! Well over $200,000 total has been awarded through Class Donations, Non-Profit Donations (chosen by the winning students), Student & Letter Recipient Awards & Class Oceanography Trips to Coconut Island “Expedition to Moku o lo’e” Program. BUT, the greatest value from this program is the relationship strengthening power the many thousands of student written “Thank You… Very Much!” letters shared with their loved one shares!

Over the years, the Lex Brodie’s Tire Company Foundation has also supported Brown Bags to Stardom (promotes the arts among Hawaii’s Keiki), Lemon Aid Alley (helps teach our Keiki entrepreneurship and business skills), B.R.A.V.E. Hawaii (helps educate Hawaii’s Keiki to help prevent and stop bullying), Lex Brodie’s University – LBU (a new Driver Program designed to help educate new drivers on tire and auto maintenance intervals and safety), BBB Students of Integrity Regional (Hawaii) Scholarships (helping teach future leaders how to do Better Business through Integrity & Trust and ECET2 – “Elevating and Celebrating Effective Teaching and Teachers (this program provides a forum for exceptional teachers to learn from one another and to celebrate the teaching profession”.
