Be Careful!!! Went to get oil change today on MB GLC 300. Asked specifically for a tire rotation with oil change. Maile confirmed it would be done. She called 2 hours later saying the car was ready. I reconfirmed that the tires had been rotated and she said yes. When I went to pick up the car, I noticed that the rear tires that I had marked with an “R” were still on the back. I let her know about this and she basically had nothing to say. I waited another 30 min while they did the rotation. I spoke to a manager about it. I think they try to get away without doing a rotation whenever they can as most people would never notice. I had marked my tires today because the same thing happened a year ago as well. Quite dishonest. I’ve been going to them for 10 years for multiple cars but hard to go back after uncovering their deceptive practices.
Follow up to original review: Aloha Mr. Merchant, we have reviewed your invoice #1315685. The brakes checked our at 9/9mm on the front and 8/8mm on the rear. The battery passed the battery load test as well. After our team member removed the tires, he moved to perform the vehicle inspection. Once he had completed the vehicle inspection, he missed rotating the tires before putting them back on (Please note, we do not rotate tires on all oil changes. In some cases, the tires are best where they are at. In others, the customers decline the rotation to save on time. Also, please note: we do not charge for the tire rotation, even when they are not our tires purchases from Lex Brodie's.) Cooper, the Honolulu store manager states he appologized for the missed tire rotation and he put it back on the first rack to expedite the tire rotation (please confirm). I was pulling together your invoice info today to respond to your Yelp review. But, since you have posted a Google Review, I’ll share what I have learned so far. I believe you were visiting for an oil change with a rotation (and brake inspection). Our team member took off all 4 of the tires to do the brake inspection, then he finished some other task. Then when he returned to the reinstall the removed tires, he missed rotating the tires. Please note, once the tires are off, it’s take very little extra effort to rotate the tires. Thus, zero reason for him not to rotate the tires (if he was aware it still needed to be done). We also have our Lex Brodie’s University (LBU) initiative where we proactively educate Oahu’s drivers about the purpose and benefit of proper tire maintenance. We also offer no charge lifetime backup services (includes tire rotation) on tires purchased from Lex Brodie’s, which we send out reminders to customers to return to us, so we can complete those services to help maximize their tire mileage (and tire life). We know that when customers are happy with their tires, and our services, they will continue to allow us to serve them in the future! Also, please note, Maile would have seen your tires off, thus would have understood that to show they were rotated. We have reviewed with our team member, and will with our entire team to make sure they have a set process they follow, such as rotating the tires once they have been removed (rolling the tires to the balancer that needed balanced, with tires marked to where they need to go).
