Aloha Scott Williams Please do not suggest that modificaitons were made after the Reconstruction permit was passed. I have no intention of illegal misconducts. I am over 50+ yrs in age, with a family and children. I enjoy my hobby with my family and abide all laws in the State of Hawaii. In fact, I had shown the employee all of my documents which listed every item on the vehicle. What I would like to know is what is your establishment's defentition of "cars like this" and as your employee stated, "they also do not inspect older volkswagons as they are considered cars like this". This is a classification that I have not read of in any Hawaii State laws. This is news to me. Please have your establishment put this in writing on a placard so other owners with "cars like this" and "older volkswagons like this" will understand your business classifications. I would have been happy if the Manager gave me a legitimate reason instead of placing me in a category of "cars like this and older volkswagons like this". If your manager was a Professional and could better articulate the busnisses point of view. I would accept his reasoning, but he was blunt and sarcastic. Scot I know you personally and have worked with you in the past when you first started as a gas boy on Queen St. I know what it'slike to be a Manager and work at Lex Brodies. So please consult with this manager on better verbage when expressing their concerns to an honest customer. If a better conveyance of his message was given I would have accepted his reasoning but placing my vehicle in an unheard of category of "cars and volkswagens like this" are not a good explanation to a customer. So please do not try to decipher what your manager stated. Place yourself as an avid automotive hobbyist and or an older Volkswagen owner...then have someone classify your vehicle unknowingly without a legitimate reason. Thank you very much!

Got a nail in our tire on Friday night. Walked in to Lex Brodie’s on a clearly busy Saturday expecting to be told they would not be able to help because they were booked. Instead, I was able to make an appointment and leave our vehicle. They called me an hour before my scheduled appointment to tell me my vehicle was already done! Very reasonable pricing and pleasant staff. Thank you!
