Updating original post. After leaving a review I was contacted by Lex Brodies. Through several emails with upper management (who were very resonable), the issue was resolved. Glad to see how much the upper management cares about their customers and takes the time to follow up with them.
Original Post:
Come in and spend over $1600 on new tires, rotation, and balancing (tires are great). Driver rear tire was flat and driver front tire had a pinhole so naturally the tire pressure sensor light was one. Once all work is complete, driver front tire pressure sensor no longer works. Schedule an appointment for the following week, under the assumption that fixing the pressure sensor would be free seeing that it worked fine when I brought it in for servicing. Yet when I arrive, they still try and charge me over $100 to replace the sensor because "there is no way they could have damaged the tire pressure sensor when changing the tires".
Aloha and Thank You... Very Much for your feedback and allowing us to serve you. We would like to look into for you. Please email me at [email protected] ; please send your invoice number. Have you replaced the sensor already? Please note, the sensors have batteries which do go bad (when they go bad, the sensor needs to be replaced), in some cases the battery is not strong enough to go through the needed reset procedure when the tires are replaced or serviced. The tool used to test the stem should be able to tell us what the malfunction is. Please note, we are seeing the batteries failing on the TPMS stems from 5 -7 years. Please send us this info, and we are eager to double check the stem for you to verify the reason for it's failure. Thank You... Very Much for your patience and understanding. Sincerely, Scott D Williams Executive Director and 29 Year Lex Brodie's Team Member
