Took my vehicle in for a safety inspection. After the inspection the manager informed me that the front window tint was out of legal spec. He recommended a nearby tint shop that can quickly take care of the issue. I was then told by this manager that once that's done to bring my vehicle back and he'll "slap" the sticker tag on! Seeing that I just purchased the vehicle from a mainland owner I was grateful that was all that needed correction. I completed the tint removal, brought the vehicle back to lex Brodie's and waited for 30min. Then the manager returns and tells me that the LED lights and tires were illegal! We are all having hard times during covid however, to destroy trust relations with your loyal clientele is a perfect way to destroy your business. So all that reads this please, be aware that lex Brodie's are practicing corrupt business practices and act like assholes when you catch them. The manager lies, the inspector is ignorant of his duty and the VP of operations smug attitude is testament to me that I need to take my business elsewhere. The old man would have never approved of this and would be highly disappointed. I'm very saddened that this is what Lex Brodie's have become. UPDATE: Mr. Williams commented that his business does not sell Wheels and LED lights however please note that was not the basis of my concern and to highlight that while he does not sell wheels and LED lights he DOES sell OEM light bulbs, TIRES, and the LABOR that it takes to install all of these items. I also sent to Mr. Williams the work order number so he can review what happened. it seems to me that his upper management did not bother to inform him of this open issue. I'll update as this unfolds. Hopefully this problem can be worked out. UPDATE: Mr. Williams refers now to my tires and how his inspector viewed that it was sticking out of the flare. My response: "tires are NOT sticking out from the flare again to reiterate the inspector explained to me that he "eyeballed" it and determined that it was sticking out. I asked him to take a straight edge to prove it. I was confident that it was not sticking out because I did exactly that. This is why I was upset at him for not proving his point. I would rather the inspector say that's how its gonna be that my determination and it stands over a lame excuse as that. In summary, If you like being treated less than your worth go to Lex Brodie's. If your one that values trust and those that perform work on your vehicle find somewhere that will treat you well maybe not give you everything you want but, know what their talking about and that will take the time needed to help you the first time. Its called good business. In summary, now that the business owner is aware of this behavior maybe it will change unless he doesn't care or his customer base is ok will poor service. I do not think Scott Williams is in the business of angering people however, a few bad apples in his organization are muddying his waters. My advice is for all to be aware even in these times of COVID that is NO excuse to issue poor service and mislead your customer!
