I like going to Lex Brodie's. So easy to make an online appointment, drop off my car, and pick it up after work. And it's always ready. I haven't had major work done yet, just safety inspections and oil changes, but they always treat me as an important customer. And they always seem to do something extra. One time it was black my tires and this time it was to wash my car. Or maybe it was the rain? I personally don't like fancy shops and offices like you see with the dealers. That's not what you see at Brodie's. You get a functional shop with the cost going towards service and not frills. When it comes time to buy tires I'll be going to Lex Brodie's.

I was a bit put off when the representative gave me an initial quote for the maximum amount of money I could be charged for the maximum amount of work that could be done purchasing initial coverage for the maximum amount of time. It was very unlike the service I got from the gentlemen I have worked with in the past who were no nonsense and tried to fix my problems giving me the cheapest package possible and working up from there and THEN explaining why it might be better to do so. I am not interested in a steak dinner and was confused when the associate pointed at a picture of food instead of different brands of tires that were in stock. I don't even think I was offered a choice. Lady probably tried to sell me the most expensive tires they had. What is happening to good old Lex's?

Honestly, I had been waiting months to get my car fixed because I couldn't afford it. There was a rubbing on my front right tire and a loud knock when I would run over bumps. I had it looked at by a previous mechanic and he told me it was the right cv axle and the strut and strut mount. Was going to charge me $200 labor. Just to make sure thats was what was causing my problem, I took it to Lex Brodie because I heard of how awesome they were and read the reviews. I dropped off my car and about two hours later they called me telling me that the sound I was hearing was because I needed a front right and rear wheel barings. This was news to me. The cost was $1,000. I went into the shop; stressed out and pretty bummed. I asked them if that was for sure the solution to my problem. They said yes. So once again I trusted them. I left my car and the next morning the manager Ben had called and said that when changing the wheel barings they noticed a torn axel. Which is why i brought it in; because I thought it was the axle but they reassured me it was the barings. And I also assume when you take off the tire to check the problem; they would be able to see the torn axel. I denied the axle because I couldn't afford it and I just spent $840 after the discount they gave me. Which I appreciated, until I picked up my car. I paid for allignment, and to get the right front tires problem solved. The allignment was worse; the problem I brought it in for was I'd say about twenty times worse then before I brought it in. I went back very upset, they explained to me that the barings were worn and I needed them replaced. Maybe that was true, but I went in for the sound and axle. They decided to change something completely different to worsen my problem and then tell me it would be $700 for the original problem I brought it in for. I feel completely ripped off. They also said they were under liability if they fixed the axle without the barring. Wouldn't they want to let me know that, and base my decision if I wanted to replace something that was not my problem because of their insurance policy? Worse thing is I asked for the old parts; they denied me and also told me I ' wouldn't be able to see the wear".... Not sure if I believe that for a second after my experience here. Listen everyone is really friendly and apparently helpful, I just think they fixed the wrong part of my car that was fine and didn't want to own up to it. So now I paid $1,000 for absolutely nothing but my vehicle being in ten times worse condition then before. I would never trust or go back here. Unless they maybe want to fix the part I asked for fixed and apologize for making me feel used because I'm a young woman who doesn't know anything about cars. One of the worst mechanics experiences I have had.

His manner was excellent and businesslike. He got me on my way quickly and didn't push me to do more than the service I requested.

The service at Lex Brodies is excellent. I found an screw in a tire which caused it to go flat. Lex Brodie worked on it in no time and the wait was very minimal. Also, the attendant, Mandee, is always so pleasant and welcoming. Great staff.
