My car was in what I thought was a minor collision with a parked car. Since the car was much bigger than mine (I drive a Miata), I ended up with a few scratches and what seemed to be messed up front-end alignment. I get it checked out before I bring it to Lex Brodies and it turns out to be a $2,000+ fix with parts. I bring the car in and while the service was nice, I get my car back completely empty on gas, and my car is still majorly pulling to one side, making a funny thumping noise. My boyfriend is driving it to the airport to drop off a friend and the thumping noise turns out to be the tire being turned to the side and skidding on the road. Upon further inspection he finds that another part seems to be missing, causing a load screeching sound inside the car. Then the fan belt snaps, which may or may not have to do with the previous work, I'm not sure. After having to dish out over $2,000 in my own money you would think everything would be fixed. So I end up bringing the car back in about two weeks later with what the shop crew says was a problem with the alignment, though they didn't acknowledge the scraping/screeching noise that came as a result. The fix the fan belt for a little under $300, when I get my car back completely empty on gas, gas light on and all, once again. But here's the best part! Now my AC won't run cold. I called to see if I could bring it in because it was running fine before I brought it in, only to be told that it would cost $85 just to HAVE IT LOOKED AT, and I would have to pay unless they decide it was their wrong doing. Needless to say, after everything I've had to deal with, I didn't end up bringing it back.
