I've been buying gas for years in Waipahu, but this was my first time at the Honolulu shop. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, with fast, efficient service. They explained the work that needs to be done and helped me to prioritize my repairs. I feel safer driving now.

I usually go to the Kalihi location, however, since the Honolulu location is closer to where I live I decided to stop by on Friday. The gas station attendants were kind enough to direct me to the entrance (they probably thought I was crazy for not being able to find it among what seemed like the working area). Once I got inside, I didn't know where to go, I'm looking for a check-in desk, person, something. Nothing. So I stand there by what I guess was the check in area where employees were working on computers and no one asked me if I needed help. I mean looked me in the eye and kept on doing what they were doing. With no problem I strolled right on out of there back to my car.

Overall: somewhat disappointed. On Monday 22 October I came by needing to purchase four tires. I was greeted by "Cooper" Masani who inspected my tires and proceeded to quote the cost for mid-range tires - the quality level about which I inquired. He showed me the price range on the computer then went on to say the wait might be three hours. He was polite and straightforward and when I indicated I was unable to wait for that length he suggested I call ahead and make an appointment. The following day I called but the phone rang for sometime without being answered - so I just went ahead and drove to Lex Brodie's expecting that I might need to wait. Sales Rep Vachelle Heyward came forward to help me- and started out by talking about the additional plan, in which I had no interest. She searched on the computer and gave me a price quote about $100 higher than what I had understood the day before. Her seemed very pressed for time and spoke rapidly. I commented that I had been given a much lower price the day before and asked how it was her quote was so much higher. There was some exchange and she maneuvered the computer search - her speech remained rapid in a way that I had difficulty catching what she was saying. I remained insistent that I have previously been told a lower price. Ultimately she said I could buy tires in the lowest price range for the total that I mentioned. I felt frustrated and was tempted to leave and consult my mechanic about an alternative business from which to purchase the tires - however I decided to remain and later describe my experience to a manager. It seemed to me that Ms. Heyward was impatient with me and perhaps not pleased that I selected the least expensive alternatives for tire replacement. She repetitively called me "dear" in what I experienced as a condescending manner. She described that they [Lex Brodie] had been very busy - particularly since Sear's had closed. Never before have I had a problem about a purchase - and I can recall even talking with Mr. Brodie who seemed readily available to his customers. The car needs new brake liners (at a cost of around $200 according to my mechanic) and I'm now unsure as to whether I want to return to Lex Brodie's. The company is obviously very busy - and has a long standing reputation for service. But somehow my experience was disappointing.

NEVER GOING TO THIS REPAIR SHOP AGAIN! I had my truck TOWED here 3 days ago because I had engine overheating problems. I told them right off the bat I NEED A NEW IGNITION CYLINDER. Come to find out they are trying to charge me for an IGNITION DIAGNOSTIC! Um hello! I already knew/told you that was the problem. WHY are you trying to charge me for this?? That's not even the worst part: ON MY BIRTHDAY, I call up Lex Brodys to check the status of my truck. Lady tells me they're working on replacing the ignition cylinder and haven't been able to diagnose it until the ignition is replaced. OK, thats cool..no big deal. Come to find out that lady has given me FALSE INFORMATION regarding the status of my truck. LEX BRODYS HELD MY TRUCK HOSTAGE FOR 3 FUCKING DAYS AND HAVEN'T DONE SHIT TO HELP ME, except try to OVERCHARGE ME for a problem that 1) I already knew was a problem and 2) that they cant even fix! I am now having my truck TOWED to another repair shop, because Lex Brodys is as WORTHLESS as it gets. Heres a tip: SAVE YOUR MONEY and go to a place that actually is concerned with EFFICIENCY AND TIME MANAGEMENT AND WHO ACTUALLY KNOWS HOW TO FIX A FUCKN CAR! Most unreliable repair shop I've ever been to, with very unprofessional service from the operator. She tried to smooth things over with me by speaking pidgeon, pffft irritate me even more why don't you? Im from Hawaii too, but you sound very unqualified and dumb!

Visited Lex Brodie's on October 24, 2013 for wheel alignment check. I received very courteous and professional services from the technician. I knew exactly what the cost of the service was going to be and how long the service was going to be. Fortunately, after inspection was done, the wheel alignment was not necessary. The best part of the visit was there was no charge for the service rendered and the staff was very friendly and very professional. I have been a customer for many years and I will continue to purchase goods and services from Lex Brodies. Aloha from Hawaii
