Been a customer for several years bought 4 sets of tires from them and multiple alignments over the course 7 years of dealing with them. Spent thousands of dollars but overall tire prices were reasonable and they have good selection. They are Ok for tires but have some shady practices that caused lost of trust Once they put the wrong tires on my car and put more expensive ones on claiming they did not have the tires I wanted in stock. So they stuck 55 series tires on my car that had manufacturer specification of using only 50 series on the rim. I was told and my invoice even said it was 195/50/16 tires installed but the sidewall said 55 series. I complained and low and behold that very same day they said they had the right sized tires in stock for $200 cheaper for a set of 4. I complained and they promptly switched out the tires for the correct ones. Wasted an extra hour of my time on top of the 3 hour wait time for the initial install. I also couldn't help but wonder if they did this on purpose to sell me more expensive tires and hope I would not notice. They are also always trying to sell wheel alignments. Yes wheel alignments are necessary BUT not always!! They charge you for an alignment whether you really need one or not. My advice is decline if you don't notice any unusual tire wear or steering issues. Still alignment should be checked and adjusted if needed from time to time. My advice is to use a reputable competitor in town who offers Lifetime alignment checks and adjustments for about $200. Yes you pay only once and for as long as you own the vehicle they will check and adjust your alignment up to every 6 months for as long as you own the vehicle. Don't waste your time with whatever 6 month through 2 year warranty alignments that Lex Brodies offers. My final straw was they ripped me off after taking my car in for a bad right rear wheel bearing. I choose Lex Brodies for the convenience and for assuming they would be cheaper than going to the dealer. Sure enough the wheel bearing needed replacing and I was quoted about $350 or so to replace. I was like Ok lets get it done because I knew it was bad because of the constant loud hum. They later called back and said the left rear wheel bearing should be replaced as well as they felt a slight play and said that side would likely follow and fail like the right side. I was like Ok sounds resonable. I get called back a third time and now they are saying my 2 front control arms need replacing due to worn bushings. I am also told I need 2 new front struts. Now they are quoting me like $3500!! By the way this is for a Toyota not a BMW!! Now I get suspicious so I march back there and say stop the work. I speak with the tech and he shows me the worn bushings. I agree with their assessment on the control arms, the bushings were indeed worn. I also did notice the car would jerk and skip during abrupt stops. Now the struts looked fine to me no leaking or tears and no excessive bounce but they kept telling me that the struts should be replaced as well. Well I am at this point like fine the car does have 153K miles on it and Oahu roads are bad!! I reluctantly agree but protest about the price!! I ask if they are using OEM parts and they laugh at me saying it would cost twice as much if they did. By the way I remind you again this is a Toyota not a BMW!! I asked to speak to a manger and we went over line item by line item and got the price down to about $2500 big difference!! My initial quoted price was with their "fixed for life guarantee" which by the way is not free!! with the work they do. The fixed for life guarantee is basically like an extended warranty that they tack on and don't remove unless you tell them too. My advice is don't fall for that gimmick. They warrant their work for a year anyway. Depending on the repair work being done a lifetime guarantee often doesn't make sense on a high mileage older car that you are unlikely to keep for another 3-5 years. I also asked about discounts and that knocked off another few hundred dollars. I reluctantly agreed not wanting to waste more time finding sowehere else. So long story short had I not made a stink they would have happily charged me an extra $1000. Even at $2500 I thought the price was rather high especially considering they were using cheap aftermarket parts. I later price checked all the parts they used online and I could have gotten it for between $600-$800. So basically I paid $1700-$1900 in labor for a job that they completed in about 4 hours. Here's the kicker though, I later found a trustworthy mechanic showed him the invoice that I got from Lex Brodies for that repair and he said he would have done that same work for about $1500. He said that for $2500 he could have done it with OEM Toyota parts from Servco. Lex B is ok for tires but for repairs I would stay away they will gouge you as bad as the dealership if not worse.

On 03/12/23, your tire technician (name unfortunately unknown) noticed while trying to inflate my tires that the tires were not rotated properly. Your staff got the job done and re-rotated the front tires. Mahalo.

Overall service was very good.

I went in for a slow leak and they pulled out a nail, fixed my tire, and got me back on the road quickly. As usual the team at Lex's was quick, friendly, polite, and professional. I'm old enough to actually remember Mr. Brodie and every time I visit the stores I think to myself that he would still be happy with the service the teams provide.

I brought my truck here on two separate occasions. First was for a safety check, and the second was for an oil change w/ tire rotation. On both times, it took 4 hours just to be notified. They seem to have a problem finishing the work and notifying customers when job is done. I had to ask about the status of my truck on hour four. Definitely needs improvement.
