I needed a proper safety inspection to be done after a repair shop on Dillingham Blvd failed my 2010 Toyota Tacoma for "steering" issues. Starkey's said that my rack and pinion assembly needed to be replaced ($1803.29) plus wheel alignment ($134.55). I just wanna say that I take very good care of my truck: it has about 76,600 miles; anytime I hear, see, or think there's a problem, I take it in. So I googled "when to replace rack and pinion" (at 100,000 miles, clunking, difficulty turning, power steering fluid leaking). I didn't notice any of these. So I called Lex Brodie in Kaneohe, and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. The good folks at Lex Brodie put my truck up on a lift, took a look and examined the steering and said there was nothing wrong. They saved me over $1,900. Thanks for being so honest, helpful, and nice about the whole situation. I really appreciate it.

We had a great experience with Lex Brodie's. We found out that we needed to change our tires. So I talked with Lex before we walked in to this place. The salesperson was honest and told us what they could check. They adjusted tire alignment and replaced two tires for over 5 hours. The staff was hardworking and friendly. Car died at airport! Towed home, though it was battery or alternator. Charged all day, still had problems, needed fix right away. Took to Lex Brodies, told them the problem, they tested and told me the results right away! I said great! I’ll leave my car and they can fix it!! Done the next day!! Problem solved and runs great!! Fast and courteous service! Thanks again!!
