Excellent service at Lex Brodie Kaneohe

I moved from the windward side to Town side Honolulu a year ago. I still drive over the Mountain to use the Kaneohe Store. I wouldn't make the drive if the service was anything less than excellent.

No. Normally, I would not write reviews. However, the result after my service here really upsets me to no end. I am incredibly outraged by what happened to my wheels. I did not pay $95 to find dings and scratches to my wheels. I came in for a simple wheel alignment and wheel balance. That's it. What I came out with was a tremendous amount of damage to the rims that are NOT even ONE MONTH old. I am not talking simple swirls that can be buffed out, I am talking multiple deep scratches and at least one extremely gaping laceration. And that was from simple inspection of my wheels alone. I cannot wait to spend the time this weekend to scan for additional scratches. I dropped my car off at 9 AM this morning, came by at 4 PM and was told they were "just starting" the wheel balancing and had to wait a half hour more. Sure! No problem! Then, I see the worker who was obviously irritated at my car. I understand, it has probably been a long day and my wheels have 2 wheel locks. I noticed the worker recklessly pulling my wheel off and tossing it onto the machine, without a care in the world. Turns out my wheels did not need balancing and I was not charged. Great! Once I got my car back, I was immediately filled with regret. The center caps were placed on poorly, negating the arrangement of the wheels locks I had prepared beforehand to keep things simple, consistent, and clean. I am most upset about the damage to my rims. My heart sank when I took a second look at my rims. I have been saving for years to finally get new rims and tires, and they are not even a month old. Now, they are worthless to me. Coming to this place was a mistake. Rushing to replace the center caps, lug nuts, and wheel locks is one thing. Scratching my rims, I cannot fathom why anyone who cares about their car would ever come here. Thank you Lex Brodie's. Bravo for taking "special" care of my car. I really appreciate how you took the extra time to tear down all the years of money I have saved up for these wheels. Each rim costs $647.83, not including the tires, and it took 30 minutes for this company to leave a gaping hole in my heart. All that money is now gone, in an instant. Unbelievable.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff -- that's why I keep coming back. The only downside is that the wait is often soooo long (two and a half hours just for tires). I guess they don't keep much in stock and must have it delivered.

Lex Brodie Kaneohe has been my go to place for our cars. I never had any problems with the service and can get our vehicles in quickly. I use the Green Fleet check up for my Prius annually to be assured my car is running at its best. I like the new feature, an online inspection report. It contains photos and descriptions of what needs immediate attention and what will need to be replaced soon. Thanks Lex Brodie, Kaneohe.

After standing in line for about 2 minutes, Vachelle acknowledged me & checked me in for my appointment shortly thereafter. My wait time was within the 2 hours that is listed for an oil change/tire rotation service. This is my 2nd oil change here, having previously gone to my dealership. During this visit, Vachelle came to the waiting room & showed me the battery-test result, which stated a battery replacement is "highly recommended." I was given the option of having it done or scheduling. However, my car is only 24 months old, so thankfully, it occurred to me that my battery might still be under warranty. I told Vachelle that I wanted to do some research before proceeding with a battery change. A few minutes later, I called Subaru & learned that indeed, my battery is under warranty. That saved me the estimated $129 if I'd had it replaced at Lex Brodie's. I appreciate that Vachelle did not pressure me in any way to make a sale. That goes a long way. I do, though, wish that Lex Brodie's, as an expert in the auto industry, would've advised me to first check with my dealership to ask about my battery warranty since my car is only 2 years old. While not required, it would show that the customer's best interest definitely comes first -- before making a hundred bucks for something that the dealership will do for free under warranty. As far as everything that is required in customer service, & technically required for an oil change & tire rotation, it was satisfactory. Thank you.
