I bought one tire to replace one that was damaged and told them to install it on the right front, the location that wears the fastest on a front wheel drive. I also asked to have the tires balanced and the one with the most tread rotated to the left front. Contrary to my instructions and everything I've ever heard in 37 years of driving, they said new tires should be placed on the rear of a front wheel drive and put the new tire and existing tire with the most tread on the rear. When I told them to rotate them the way I told them to. They refused. The manager, who hid in the office rather than do his job and deal with a dissatisfied customer, relayed a message via an employee that the new tires had to go on the rear due to "tire law." (If anyone at Lex Brodie's responds to this, please state the code section of the law to which you were referring.) There is also a $35 charge on my bill for resetting the tire pressure monitoring system. The technician's hand written instructions on my work order said, correctly, "drive to reset TPMS." The TPMS on a Honda resets itself. They charged me $35 to do literally nothing. Since Lex Brodie's has failed to return my e-mail, I'm pursuing a criminal fraud complaint over that charge. After being ripped off for an extra $35 for doing noting, I had to rotate four tires manually since they failed to follow my instructions and put the newer tires on the front. That will be a civil matter I will pursue in small claims court.
