Aiea, HI ("Pearlridge")
I usually have my car serviced in town since I can drop it off before work, then pick it up after work, but since I was at home, a friend who was trying to help me accidentally poured power steering fluid into my low brake fluid container a few days before my son's driver's test, and I needed to get my car fixed right away (plus it is recommended not to leave the fluid in bc it will seep through the rubber and ruin the entire brake system, including the rubber and seals) I called around Leeward area, and Lex Brodie had a spot open. Because this month they were offering free rental car if service is more than a certain amount, I was happy and a bit relieved that I could at least have a car for my son to practice and use for his driver's test in the event that the car wouldn't be fixed by then. (However dealing with Enterprise was another story). Since Lex Brodie closes a few hours after Enterprise close, I could leave the rental car at Lex Brodie when my car was fixed. Charlemaine Blue answered the phone while I was so stressed with this situation, calling her many times, but she stayed very professional and helped me with my concerns and my insurance co. along the way. They first gave an estimate, then asked for approval to perform the job. They ended up changing my brake cylinder, checked all hoses and did a total flush. The cylinder has a lifetime warrantee. Another perk is I previously bought their 2 year alignment service from the town shop, which applies at any Lex Brodie shop anytime at no extra cost. The waiting room, however, had a high pitch wail which they were trying to fix, so I went outside to wait for my rental car. As service technicians/mechanics walked into the shop, they asked if I was ok since there were no chairs outside. In all, they did a great job and got it done at the end of the day so my son was able to take his drivers test with our car instead of rescheduling to another 6 months, and PASSED!!! Their parts are usually available and prices are cheaper than dealership or other shops in town or leeward area.. Kudos to Charlemaine and the whole team for working with me and getting my car fixed within the day. They are right across from Pearlridge in case the job takes long and you don't want to wait in the waiting room and don't need to rent a car. P.S. a few month ago, I also took my car in once to this Aiea shop to get my tires filled because the TPMS went on, and the technicians were very friendly and kind to fill up the tires for me even if I never got my car serviced with them at that time.
