I’m not on to leave reviews but they paid to tow my 1995 Jeep Wrangler all the way to Schofield because they could not fix a simple break line. What concern was related to those repairs I was never told any concern besides rust. I even told you what was wrong with it and you still couldn’t do it. This place is a joke and then leaves a nasty response all because they paid to tow a car they couldn’t fix a simple repair but there website says there the best brake shop. Then they tried to tell me what needed done. Which they said to do brand new lines on the entire car when only one was leaking. Then declined to do it after I asked how much it would be to fix it.
Aloha, Some additional follow up information: We referred the vehicle out once we saw the metal brake line fitting on the left rear frame rail was rounded and appeared to have been damaged from pliers / or vice grips. To the point, the brake line hex for a wrench to hold onto, was too rounded to use properly. This part was attached to a brake hose that was recently replaced elsewhere. Once we saw we would need to work on the rounded hex part to fix the brake fluid leak, we decided to refer back to the original repair persons so that work would not become our responsibility. Our VP of Mechanical (an ASE master tech, with over 30 years of experience) was the tech who identified this condition and concern with the previous repairs that were done elsewhere. The vehicle left in the same condition it came in, but since there was a slight leak in the recently replaced brake hoses, we towed the vehicle (at about $150ish cost to Lex Brodie's) to the location it was requested and instructed not to drive the vehicle until fixed properly. Original Response: Aloha, did our team pay for the tow? (Sounds like we did). Did we pay for the tow when we didn’t charge anything? (We paid for the tow even though we didn’t charge anything?) Actually, we are at dinner now and the manager is aware of your vehicle. Our VP if Mechanical Repair is here as well (and is aware of it). Because someone had worked on your own vehicle already, and there was a concern related to those repairs. We’ll refer back to the shop / person who did the original repairs. We wish you the best success to fix your problem. We are glad our team was helpful to pay the tow the car out when we didn’t charge anything. Sincerely, Scott D Williams 34+ Years Lex Brodie’s Team Member
