My review of the Queen St. Lex Brodie's is long overdue. I have had several reasons to visit them over the past few years (like 10ish). First, the engine oil cooler was leaking on my car. They got me in and out before lunch time and way cheaper than the dealer. Second, they fixed my broken AC. Dropped off the car in the morning on my way to work and walked to my office. Barney (who has since retired) checked me in and sent me on my way. The last thing I told him was not to call me & tell me it was the compressor (they are expensive). Well it WAS the compressor but certainly not his fault (thanks Nissan). Anyways, it was way less than the dealer and WAY cheaper than the dealer (by like $520). It did take a little while as they had to get the part the following day and then do the work ... but ... they freaking hooked me up with a FREE rental. Seriously, who does that? The rental company even came and picked me up. Third, my car was acting weird and not wanting to accelerate at random times. The check engine code said I needed a new Mass Airflow Sensor. I replaced it myself and the problem came back. I replaced it via the warranty from the parts store and the problem persisted. Just trying to be cheap and save $$$. Well I finally had to break down (see what I did there) and go to a (real) mechanic. Check the car in at Lex Brodie's and they tell me they are replacing the same part I did already (twice). Well, they had to start there because that was what the code was saying. They replaced it, test drove it and the problem still lingered. They said I need to go to the dealer because there was a computer issue that was beyond their scope. I went and picked up my car and was charged nothing! Yep, you read that right! They advised me what to do, apologized for not being able to resolve the issue and charged me zero for the diagnosis. I did go to the dealer and it was basically something only the dealer could fix and have even known about. LB, kudos for honesty and integrity. This is my go to place for car repairs and should be yours too. In between I have had oil changes, 2 flat tires repaired (once for free) and other routine things done. Customer service A+, cost is fair (no more than any other mechanic & way cheaper than the dealer and the repairs are done right). I have never felt scammed or cheated by them, ever. THANK YOU VERY MUCH LB.
