Two months ago, I brought my car into Lex Brodie's for its regular check up. I was told that I needed 2 new tires, so I bought the new tires. A couple of weeks ago, my car had an oil change at a nearby gas station, and they told me that my front brakes were 95% gone. I called Lex Brodie's to ask if my brakes were checked when I bought the new tires. I was told that brakes are generally checked when the car is brought it, however, there weren't any notes on my record that the brakes were worn out. I could bring the car back again to check the brakes. Yesterday I brought my car back to Lex Brodie's to check the brakes, and was told that the front brakes were "metal on metal" and I needed new pads and rotors for a cost of $737. I'm wondering why my brake pads were not checked during my regular 6 month check ups at Lex Brodie's to prevent this dangerous and costly situation.
