I scheduled a flat repair / possible change of tires if unable to repair. I arrived and let the person at the desk know that I had a 230 appointment that I was late to, I couldn't get out of a work related meeting. The service writer said that he couldn't help me because all of the other cars "he pointed out the cars parked everywhere" had to get serviced and also had appointments. He told me that I could leave the tire itself and they could try to repair it tomorrow morning. I asked him to look at the tire to see if it was fixable and he walked to my car and said no its most likely not repairable. ( I was an auto manger for sears for years and know that without removing the tire you can not see what penetrated the tread). It was a key that was ground down. Since he saw that the tire was not repairable he said that he would replace them today because he noticed that I purchased Michelin tires before. I am assuming its because my business went from just a flat repair to a 2 tire change. I asked if I could get the gift card since I just bought 2 Michelin tires in January and he said no, you must buy all 4 at the same time. I also know that at Sears we would give the customer the card anyway especially if they ask for it with good reason such as I did. I told him I didnt know that there was a sale on tires before and had I of known that if I bought all 4 tires I would have received the 100$ off the total of 4 and a 50$ gift card. He was nice, and I was not a pushy customer because I knew that by taking me he was doing me a huge favor. I would not be able to get the tire replaced until this weekend and my spare was not a great tire. When I checked out I asked again for the 100$ off and 50$ gift card and I was told no. I then asked since I had several flat tires repaired before at this location would I get the credit for those as I have been told that all money spend on flat repairs can be credited to the purchase of new tires as long as I buy new tires from LB. I was told no, even though there were patches on both of the tires they replaced. I also asked if I could use the $10 coupon for making a reservation and I was told no again. I also think I was charged more for tires this time then the previous visit in January. I was appalled at the lack of customer service in regards to honoring the 100$ off 4 Michelin tires & 50$ gift card, the denial of the credit for flat repairs and the denial of the 10 off coupon for creating a reservation online. In all I feel that the staff stole 100 +50 + 10 + 50 = $210 total dollars. Lastly, when examining the object that penetrated my tire I am not certain that the tire was not repairable. The object was almost in the middle of the tread and only went in 1 inch inside and a plug/patch kit should have done the job. I think the service writer just wanted to take my money which is why at first he tried to say no way, then magically 35 minutes later I had 2 new tires installed. Obviously most of the cars that were parked were already done and he tried to make it seem that they were all waiting for service. I would like someone to contact me via the supplied email address with a follow up on my complaint that I was not provided the coupons and promotions as offered.
