Kaneohe, HI
I took my 2003 Tacoma here last October, to simply have my windshield washer fluid pump replaced. In the process, they broke something above my front right wheel. My wife picked up my truck for me when it was ready, and didn’t notice the problem. But she did mention the employees staring at her with unscrupulous looks and making her feel uncomfortable. The next time I drove my truck, about one week later, I take a left turn and hear my right front tire grinding on the hub above the tire. It almost caused an accident because I couldn’t turn and accelerate at the same time. I called Kaneohe Lex Brodies and set up an appointment to bring it in, which is not easy to find time for in my busy schedule. When I finally was able to take it back in, they told me that they must have broken a plastic tab when they installed the washer fluid pump. They then told me that not only would I have to pay for the part they broke, but that they would have to UPCHARGE me from whatever price was quoted from the Toyota dealer. Or they gave me a DIY option… to take a sawzall and try to cut a section out of my truck that now rubs on my front right tire. I have been driving with this issue on my truck for months now and can only turn about 60% to the left without the tire grinding to a halt and making a horrific sound. My whole family and I have been customers at the Kaneohe Lex Brodies for 8+ years, and I was honestly sickened by this experience and it makes me upset every time I think about it.
