I took my car in for a safety check this past weekend. I had made an appointment ahead of time since it was a Saturday and bound to be busy. I arrived a little earlier just to be on the safe side. I pulled into the parking lot and noticed a woman smiling and helping a customer who also appeared to be getting a safety check as well; she carefully laid out paper floor mats and put a number on top of the car. I pulled in next to that lucky customer but didn't get the same lady or such a warm reception at the front desk. I was helped by a young lady who seemed a bit distant and not as customer-friendly as the other woman I saw when I pulled up into the parking lot. When you do your safety check with them, they ask if you are going to be waiting or coming back. I told them I would be waiting (incidentally 1 hour 45 min even with an appointment). I have a new game on my phone that sucks up data, so this free Wi-Fi that Lex Brodie's offers took some of the edge off waiting. They apparently offer free wi-fi; I say "apparently" because getting any forth-coming information from unhelpful front desk staff is super irritating, and actually made me look pretty pathetic when the password given to me by my service rep (young girl) didn't work after I tried numerous times (password was correct, server was wrong). I went back each time to the front desk to ask questions because the girl only gave partial information. The girl did not tell me which Wi-Fi server to connect to, so it was a guessing game and she was truly irritated when I had to ask each time. An older gentlemen helped me once but it still didn't work, so on the third try I got lucky because the girl was on the phone and Mandy just happened to be there (I don't give up until I get my Wi-Fi, damnit). She was really helpful, not at all irritated, smiled at me and actually helped me! If you want to know who Mandy is, she was the woman who I first saw pulling into the lot and putting the mats on her customer's car floors. When my car was ready, I paid my $31 and had to ask where my keys were...was it in the car? Or will my car key be given to me??? Come to find out the girl was supposed to give me my car key after I paid, but she just took the money and ignored me as I stood there like an idiot (again). I also got into my car and there was no courtesy paper car mat. I guess that saves the environment and all, but the disparity between the service from two different people were vast and huge; had it been Mandy it may have been a 5-star experience but all I got was attitude from the other girl. Management, if you are still reading reviews years later, please give Mandy one of those "Caveman dollars" or whatever it is you give to your outstanding employees! If it wasn't for Mandy, this experience would have been less than A-OK for sure. I may return, not sure. I've been coming here for years, so I guess I shouldn't let one sour lemon spoil the whole experience. If I find something closer to home with better service I may give a try instead.
